Delivery, sales and recepts

This page explains how the Sales are calculated in IBD on the base of Demand prediction. For competing products the sales are summarized from delivery values you assigned to different consumers according to their predicted demand. You can input your non-competing products delivery directly in the Sales form. IBD calculates the expected future sales of each product and total sales and receipts.

The output products in IBD may be competing or not. Correspondingly there are two ways of delivery definition in IBD:

1. If the product is competing, its delivery is defined during demand prediction in the form Demand. In this form the delivery can be assigned manually or calculated by the program, if the check box 'Delivery = Demand' is marked. Then the delivery value for each month is used in the Sales form to calculate the sales and receipts trends in monetary units.

2. If the product is not competing, its delivery is defined by user directly in Sales form and also is used for the sales and receipts calculation.

Here some forms of the Sales sub menu are presented showing the sequence of the sales calculation to each consumer type and in total. In these forms the white fields are intended for data input, the blue ones are calculated or selected by IBD.

Consumers of production - allows selecting the consumers for each outputted product. For competing products the consumers were already selected in the form Consumer options (see the Demand page) when you have selected the competing products interesting for each consumer. Therefore here you can only view the same selection grouped by products and cannot change it.

For non-competing products you can select here some consumers from the full list specified in Consumers form (see the General page).

Output, sales and receipts - allows to assign or change the delivery to the selected consumer and product price for all planned and past time units. Simultaneously the sales to the consumer and the receipts from him are calculated by IBD. If you click the Calculate button, the total sales of the output product, and the payments received from all its consumers are calculated.

Total sales and receipts - shows the sales and receipts calculation results for each your product and the total sales and receipts of your firm.
